19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev won his initial trophy for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a torrid year, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and ultimately separating with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden championship following the Rome competition and first on a hard court after March of 2023.
Success also signifies the Russian has achieved twenty-one championships at 21 distinct events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to secure a championship is particularly special," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my child her name, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had lost his previous six finals, featuring in Halle previously this season.
The player's retrieving play style and recurring reactions on the tennis court had caused some to doubt if his capacity to perform at the elite level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, backed up by an better service.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his first professional title, gained dominance to force a final set.
The opponent rescued 4 initial chances in a tight final set before the Russian broke to 15 to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev clinched victory with a shot at the net area, with his opponent failing to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
